June 10-Thank Goodness
June 9-So that's why they call 'em "falls"
I fell down a waterfall today. Ya see, I'm one for adventures and exploring; that being said, Andrew and I explored a little bit of the mountain right behind my house. Why would we hike the boring rocky trails in our flip-flops when we can hike in the not boring, fast moving water? I mean, seriously. ;) So we did just that. We came to a waterfall not too long after ditching our shoes and belongings in a bush and bracing the cold water. Of course, Andrew hiked up with ease. Well, not ease, but he made it to the top. I tried. . .but lost my footing and slid/toppled down the natural-made, vertical waterslide. I landed with a cur-plop twisting my ankle a little funny, and, as I'm sure you can imagine, immediately got pelted with water.
It was awesome. (no sarcasm)
Now that's an adventure. I tried again, and made it up. I didn't realize I had hurt myself until later. We continued up the river, ditched that, and took a rocky trail up a little ways. Now that would have been much more enjoyable had we not left our shoes half-way down the mountain. In order to save our feet, we took a route through the softer wildernessy part. . .with the not-softer, short, deadly trees. Our little adventure was far from long, but it was saweeeeet.
It seems that I often get myself injured when venturing around with Andrew. . .I blame him. The evidence is stacked high against him.
ETC! But he always rescues me in the end. And yes, my hair seemed to have changed colors a lot, but it really didn't. . I just drew inaccurate pictures.
Anyway, we got back and due to Andrew's awesomeness/brilliance/kindness he totally fixed my computer. One minute he was eying the cord, and then suddenly my computer was completely taken apart and Andrew was busy soldering something. .in any case, he fixed it! I couldn't get the dang thing to charge and now it works great! A+!
Andrew, thank you friend!

June 8-A Day in the Life of a Modern Day Poop Scooper
Today I got a new lawn to clean up, it's kinda far, BUT it's worth it. I mean, I do one in Pleasant Grove, but it's kind of a joke. I drive all the way up there, and the lawn is incredibly easy to clean. I honestly have no idea why they hire someone to do it. It takes me all of 8 minutes to do. Eh. Whatevs. ;) But this one is not easy.
I arrived at the house a little earlier than I had expected, and was welcomed very kindly by the owner. She led me to the backyard where I saw two cute little dogs. They were so sweet! And then I saw two more, also sweet, then two more. .also sweet. But lots of dogs means lots of poop. I began to do my work, which is super fun and I'm sure you all envy me.
. . .lots of poop. It took me a while, and to keep my mind busy I decided to name the dogs. One followed me around keeping a constant eye on me, I named him Ranger. The others I called Fiesta, Eddy, Snow, Ed, and squeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaak.
Something kept squeaking and distracting me from my dog-naming! How annoying, right? I ignored it at first, but it kept happening again and again. I finally looked to see a little doggy door on top of a ramp. Dogs were coming in and out almost nonstop. Then it hit me. The only dog that has really stayed within my sights was Ranger. All the others were running around and whatnot. They all looked the exact same too. I counted again, seven. How can one dog just appear out of nowhere? And then I realized that for all I know there could be a zillion little dogs living here. . .pooping here.
Shoe-dang.
I finished the yard, but I always do a second sweep-through to gather any "stragglers". Usually there's one or two, but with this yard, there was just as much poo the second time as there was the first. Boo. So I did it a third time. Same thing. Could I really be this careless? I re-did the yard 5 times before calling it quits. I think there were like 40,000 dogs all coming out and re-pooping on the places that I had cleaned. That's the only logical explanation.
I'm glad I could keep you entertained with a story about scooping up dog poo. Either I don't have a life or you don't. Or neither of us do. Anyway, as a reward here's a link to Mama's project 365. She was so punny today!! Denise's blog :)

June 7-It's kind of like an adventure
I've been CRAVING an adventure lately and today was a bit of one, although, for whatever reason, I don't really count it as a full adventure adventure, I honestly don't know why, but I don't. Also, I realize my posts with one picture are a lot more inviting to read. I guess that's why the real "Project 365" has people choose one picture a day, but that's too hard for me. Anyway, enjoy another many picture post.
I drove to Heber today for my "monthly ridiculous poop-scooping job" only to discover that it has become more ridiculous since I was there four weeks ago. Why ridiculous? I will tell you. This is the most unkempt disgusting yard in existence. I'm not quite sure why they hired someone to come poop-scoop it, because there is nothing else about the place that indicates any type of lawn/yard care. I had to dig through knee-high grass and weeds to find poop. POOP. The things I do.
Anyway, while I was doing that, Dan had my camera. .he took many disturbing random pictures.
After that little waste-of-my-life, Dan and I decided to have a barbecue! Hoorah!
THEN, we rode our bikes to Seth's. Oh the joys. . .of me sleeping while they play boring video games for hours on end. Actually, that's probably why this day doesn't count as an adventure. And after that waste-of-my-life, I rode my bike home. Which was great, but got me 4 unwanted cat calls, and 2 separate lectures from both my grandmother and my mother. Apparently riding my bike home at midnight is bad. Oooops. .
In conclusion, despite two separate but equal waste-of-life moments, today was pa-retty fun. :) Also, I met the cutest dog on the planet.
Side-note: also at Seth's, we played the piano, sang, did a little lazer tag type thing, and I talked to Mama, and those are all cool! :)

June 6-FHE?
It is Monday which is usually ze day of family home evening, in this fine church of which I attend, but I don't really have that too often, SO my "FHE" was improvised with Ashley, her friend Kassie, their friend Mike, and his friends blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, dude, girl, guy, homie (his 11 friends that I met not). We saw Source Code. Can you say "amazing"? 'Cause I can! It was really really good!!! I recommend it~
Then we got some grub at a SUPER nice sit-down restaurant! (Called Denney's by a few locals, but actually called Den-ay's). And by we, I mean Me + those two gals + Dan&Kay - Mike&company. It was fun :)

June 5-Thank-you-mony
| Totally unrelated picture of an elephant I folded using a $10 bill, unfortunately, it wasn't my $10 bill. |
Today was Fast Sunday, and consequently testimony meeting during church. Skyler pointed out to me that at his church, they steer clear from "thank-you-monies" and instead try to fill the hour with real testimonies of the Gospel. I think that's pretty cool :) My ward does not do that, but that's okay too. Okay, I'm losing focus here. Anyway, in Relief Society we opened the floor for about fifteen minutes or so at the end of class where sisters could share thoughts and what-not. There were a lot of thank-you-monies, a ton really. But it was amazing. Because the heartfelt thanks that these sisters were offering were just saturated to the core with the Spirit and love. In fact, I think I will share a story of one of my neighbors.
Her son was home from his mission, and like a lot of return missionaries found the love of his life. It was really sweet. They were so full of love for each other! After they were married, they moved into a house near his family's and started their lives together. They were happy. For about five months they lived there, content with the challenges of being newly weds, full of love for each other, and living life.
September 2009
"Police say 24-year-old Richard Case and his 19-year-old wife, Molly Ann Case, stopped at a 7-Eleven store at 206 N. Main Street around 11:45 a.m. for refreshments. They were taking a break from target shooting and camping in Hobble Creek Canyon.
Kimberley Steele stood behind the young bride in line. 'They just looked like they were in there buying candy and snacks and going to go out and, you know, have fun. It didn't appear that they were fighting or anything,' she said.
That's when police say things went horribly wrong.
'As they went back to the car, he opened the car door and a .22 caliber revolver fell out. And when it did, it hit the ground and discharged,' said Lt. Dave Caron with the Springville Police Department. 'Then he looked at her and realized that something was wrong. She kind of lifted her shirt and looked down, and then fainted.'
Steele says it was a frightening sight. 'He was standing over her screaming that this was his wife, that his wife had been shot, and he was just hysterical,' she said."
Unfortunately, after being rushed to the hospital, Molly died.
I remember this. I remember going to the funeral, hugging the family members, mourning with them. It was a sad time. But the sister said her thank-you-mony today. She thanked all the ward members for their prayers and support. It was really incredible to hear her, and she brought such a spirit of love into the room. And then more sisters shared their thank-you-monies, and it was just incredible.
Anyway, I think that maybe on Fast Sunday we should have a testimony meeting, where people really share what they know about the Gospel, and then a separate thank-you-mony meeting. .because those are great too.

June 4-Do you hear the people sing?
